Sermelo is an established communications consultancy based in central London, we are looking for a digital savvy intern with outstanding written and oral communications skills, intellectual curiosity, as well as an avid interest in current and corporate affairs.
Other key strengths we’re looking for include strong organisation skills, and an ability to meet strict deadlines in what can be a busy and dynamic consultancy environment.
As an Intern working for Sermelo, your day-to-day responsibilities will include media monitoring, content development for our social media, research and insight gathering for clients and new business and supporting client teams with journalist engagement, press release development and content creation.
While this is an initial three-month placement, we are looking for someone with a long-term perspective who is looking to grow their skills and experience with us as we continue to expand as a consultancy. To that end, the successful applicant may be rewarded with a permanent contract on completing the three-month placement.
Skills and experience required:
• Specific experience in PR, digital media, communications or public/corporate affairs is desirable but not essential;
• A strong academic track record and minimum 2:1 degree that demonstrates strong research, analytical and written skills is essential.
This is a full-time role based in central London and while Sermelo provides flexible working, it is expected that at least two days per week would be office based.
Salary: London Living Wage
