Quote of the week

"The State of Iowa should disqualify Ted Cruz from the most recent election on the basis that he cheated- a total fraud!"

- It wasn't a great week for Donald Trump, who wrote this to his Twitter followers after he came second in Iowa.

Article of the week

Earlier this week we went to the launch of the new UK Reputation Dividend Report at the Institute of Directors. The report revealed some very interesting findings - for example that corporate reputation contributed £790 billion of shareholder value at the start of 2016, equivalent to 35% of the market capitalisation of the FTSE 350. An interesting read.

Openness pays. This is why it is remarkable that, more than ever before, the trust deficit seems to be continuing to grow.

Song of the week

This week, the BBC announced Matt Le Blanc will joining Chris Evans as a presenter of the new series of Top Gear. The appointment appears to reflect a move from the BBC to widen its global audience. Could this Beatles classic be on Matt Le Blanc's playlist this week?

Discovery of the week

Lima Fitzrovia has long been celebrated by London's foodies, and did not disappoint when we went for a meal this week. Boasting a shiny Michelin star (the first Peruvian restaurant to achieve this), Lima's contemporary take on the South American cuisine was nothing less than delicious - and a feast for the eye with dishes in all colours of the rainbow. Highly recommended.

Follow of the week

Microsoft is one of the many companies that released its adverts ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl this week. Continuing the company’s focus on the emotional impact of technology, rather than product features, it’s another example of how the business’ new direction under Satya Nadella is going the right way. A CEO with a personality, his Twitter feed is worth checking out if you haven’t done so already.

This week, part of the Sermelo team had the pleasure of visiting our friends at Ogilvy's new offices in South Bank's Sea Containers. We must admit we felt a bit of 'rooftop envy' when we saw this view.
